💼 About the Role

Packative is looking for a hands-on Tech Lead who can strengthen engineering execution, improve technical standards, and help build a stronger development team.

You will work closely with Product and the CEO to turn business requirements into clear technical plans, improve delivery reliability, and help engineers become more independent.

👤 Who You Are

You are the kind of engineer who wakes up wanting to know what changed in AI and software development overnight. You naturally follow Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, engineering communities, new model releases, tools, and research—not because someone asks you to, but because you are genuinely curious.

You try new tools yourself, question traditional development practices, and constantly ask: How should this change the way we build, review, test, and ship software? You want to help build the development organization of the future, not simply manage yesterday's engineering process.

🔧 What You'll Do

Translate product requirements into clear technical plans, scope, and priorities.
Act as the technical bridge between Product and Engineering and surface delivery risks early.
Lead an AI-first engineering approach, including harness engineering, AI-assisted coding, reviews, testing, and debugging.
Design increasingly autonomous development cycles where agents can implement, test, review, and iterate with strong human oversight.
Continuously reshape engineering workflows as AI capabilities evolve instead of preserving traditional processes by default.
Set and raise standards for architecture, code quality, testing, deployment, and technical decision-making.
Stay hands-on in coding, reviews, difficult technical problems, and production issues.
Mentor engineers and help build a more independent, accountable, and high-performing team.

🎯 What We're Looking For

Senior-level software engineering and production system ownership experience.
Strong backend or full-stack engineering capability.
Strong interest in AI-first development, harness engineering, coding agents, and autonomous software development workflows.
Experience with architecture, technical design, code review, and engineering standards.
Ability to turn ambiguous product needs into executable technical plans and improve the process used to deliver them.
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bilingual English/Korean preferred; business-level Korean is sufficient (roughly TOPIK 3–4+).
Comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy in a startup environment.

Previous Tech Lead or engineering leadership experience.

기존 개발 방식을 그대로 유지하기보다 AI 기술의 발전에 맞춰 개발 프로세스 자체를 지속적으로 재설계합니다.

🎯 자격 요건

시니어급 소프트웨어 엔지니어링 및 프로덕션 시스템 운영 경험.
Backend 또는 Full-stack 기반의 강한 실무 역량.
AI-first 개발, Harness Engineering, Coding Agent 및 자율형 소프트웨어 개발 워크플로우에 높은 관심과 실험 의지가 있는 분.
기술 설계, 아키텍처, 코드 리뷰 및 개발 표준 수립 경험.
모호한 제품 요구사항을 실행 가능한 기술 계획으로 구조화하고 개발 프로세스 자체도 개선할 수 있는 능력.
개발자와 비개발자 모두와 명확하게 소통하고 조율할 수 있는 능력.
영어/한국어 이중언어 가능자 우대. 한국어는 비즈니스 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 수준이면 충분하며, 대략 TOPIK 3–4급 이상을 선호합니다.
스타트업 환경에서 높은 자율성과 책임감으로 업무를 추진할 수 있는 분.
