About the Role

Packative is building the operating system for the packaging industry. We are preparing our expansion into Japan and launching a pilot project with strategic partners in the market.

For this phase, we are looking for a senior-level Full Stack Developer (contractor) who can execute fast, build production-grade systems, and work closely with our core team in Seoul.

Depending on the outcome of the pilot, this contract may be extended or converted into a longer-term role.

You will work across our core platform (packative.com), connecting real-world manufacturing and logistics with automation, ERP workflows, and AI-driven tooling.

Contract Period: Until July 2026

What You Will Do

Build and ship production-ready features across frontend and backend using React, Next.js, and NestJS
Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs and internal tools supporting ERP and marketplace workflows
Deploy and operate systems using AWS-native services such as Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and RDS
Work with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Redis to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity
Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI teams during the Japan pilot to iterate fast based on real partner feedback
Use AI development tools like Copilot, GPT, and internal assistants to increase delivery speed and code quality
Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and testing to keep the platform maintainable as we scale

What We Are Looking For

3 to 6 years of hands-on full stack experience, ideally in SaaS, platforms, or internal systems
Strong TypeScript fundamentals with real-world experience in NestJS, React, and Next.js
Solid frontend skills using CSS, SCSS, and Tailwind CSS
Proven experience building and operating systems on AWS
Strong understanding of relational databases and performance optimization using PostgreSQL or MariaDB, plus Redis
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
Clear thinking around clean code, system design, and API architecture
Comfortable using AI tools for refactoring, debugging, test generation, and productivity gains
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver without hand-holding

Nice to Have

Experience with ERP-style workflows, marketplaces, or complex internal tools
Exposure to manufacturing, packaging, print production, or logistics
Experience building developer tooling or internal automation using LLMs
Prior experience working with or launching products for the Japanese market
