Backend Developer

We’re looking for a talented Backend Engineer who is versatile, displays leadership qualities, and is keen to take on new challenges. As part of the Clika team, you will gain knowledge and industrial proficiency in a broad spectrum of the most-advanced deep-learning techniques and concepts, while acquiring best practices.

Core Responsibilities

• Write clean, concise, modular code that is easily testable
• Participate in an agile environment.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle (requirements gathering, designing, building, testing and maintenance).
• Participate in code reviews.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
• Experience in working with Linux
• Experience in working with Git
• Experience in working with Docker
• Experience in building RESTful API services
• Experience in working with Cloud Environment
• Experience in working with Relational & Non-relational databases
• Understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Experience with continuous delivery and automated testing

Preferred Qualifications

• M.Sc Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
• Skilled in Go, Python or NodeJS [Go is a big advantage]
• Experience building large and scalable applications
• Experience in working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Experience in working with Kubernetes
• Experience in working with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Nomad, etc.)
• Experience in developing GRPC server
