Staff, iOS Engineer (e-Commerce engineering)

The Core Online Business iOS team of the ecommerce engineering organization is responsible for the end-to-end customer shopping experience of the Coupang app. From access to Coupang app, product reviews, shopping carts, and post-order reviews, we are on all our customers' shopping trips together, and we are changing their lives through various domain services such as rocket fresh, rocket delivery, and rocket direct purchase. With a strong understanding of web/app programming, it builds reliable systems through large-scale traffic and transaction management and provides APIs and architectures needed for customer service.

About the role

The Staff engineer has a central role in the development team of the Coupang app. Their responsibilities are developing the product and play a crucial role in proposing the best solutions for business requirements in time based on deep understanding of customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve the iOS architecture to ensure that iOS engineers can maintain high productivity and stability in quality
• Establish priorities and strategies for critical technical projects and lead engineers to achieve goals
• Bar raiser to continuously elevate the team’s engineering excellence to a higher level

Basic Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in iOS development
• Experience in developing customer service for large-scale user bases
• Experience with development process including code reviews, in teams of 5 or more members
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers and related teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding about Agile and Scrum process
• Experience in developing e-commerce services
• Experience collaborating in a global team
