In child developmental therapy, the most important factor is being matched with the right professional who can provide treatment tailored to each child’s individual characteristics. Every child develops at a different pace and faces different challenges, so even within the same therapy field, the outcomes can vary greatly depending on who delivers the treatment and how it is applied. In other words, the effectiveness of developmental therapy depends less on what type of therapy is used, and more on who provides it and how it is delivered.

However, in reality, the expertise and experience of over 30,000 therapists in Korea are not systematically organized, and information remains fragmented. Parents are forced to navigate this limited information through trial and error, often during a critical period when timely and effective intervention is essential. This is not merely an inconvenience. It is a structural problem that directly impacts a child’s developmental potential.

GrowMatch addresses this issue through an AI-driven data system. By combining a self-assessment engine that precisely analyzes a child’s developmental status with data profiling that structures and quantifies therapists’ expertise, GrowMatch recommends the most suitable therapist for each child. This transforms a process once driven by intuition and guesswork into one based on data-driven decision-making.

We go beyond a simple matching service. Our goal is to build a “standard operating system (OS)” that connects the entire developmental therapy ecosystem through data. Through this, we aim to create an environment where every child can access the most appropriate treatment without being limited by information gaps.

The founder is the creator of the child traffic safety solution “Yellow Carpet,” which was successfully scaled into a nationwide public policy. With an MVP already built and pre-seed funding secured, the business potential has been validated.

Now, we are looking for our first CTO to bring this vision to life. This is not just about building a matching service. It is about redefining the standards of the developmental therapy industry. What you’ll do

Take ownership of the existing platform architecture and evolve it as the product scales
Implement and expand GrowMatch’s matching and recommendation system
Build scalable data pipelines leveraging data from 5000+ development centers across Korea
Integrate AI and LLM tools to generate useful insights and reports for parents
Design infrastructure capable of securely handling sensitive child development data
Define the technology stack, engineering standards, and development processes
Work closely with the CEO to translate product ideas into scalable systems
Help shape the company’s long-term technical roadmap

You have

Strong engineering experience
Experience scaling or evolving existing systems and products
Experience with LLMs or AI-powered products
Experience building data platforms or recommendation systems
Comfort working in early-stage startup environments
A pragmatic mindset, knowing when to iterate quickly and when to invest in robust systems
Ability to work independently and make key technical decisions
Curiosity about solving real-world problems using technology
Conversational Korean to easily communicate with the CEO and local partners

Nice to have

Familiarity with secure systems handling sensitive data
Startup experience as an early engineer or technical founder
