A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for our IT outsourcing company is a key member of our team who ensures the quality and excellence of software products delivered to our clients. This individual is responsible for developing and implementing best practices for testing, debugging, and reporting on the quality of various software applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
- Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the software.
- Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
- Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
- Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Proficient in scripting and/or programming languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaborative problem solving.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on project needs.
