The Forward Deployed Engineer is responsible for deploying and operating system-level infrastructure (AI Core, Robot OS, Cloud, Data Hub, Control Plane) for fully autonomous warehouses and factories at the forefront of customer sites.

We take the view that “deployment is not the end of learning, but the beginning.” Rather than considering our work finished once we deploy to the field, we aim to be an organization that learns again from the field.

This position is responsible for directly deploying our systems at customers’ warehouses and factories and taking end-to-end ownership from problem definition to implementation, validation, and improvement.

This is not simply a technical support or PoC demo role. Even after a contract is signed, you will remain involved at the customer site, structure ambiguous requirements, build and validate solutions directly, and feed the insights gained through this process back to the product and engineering teams to improve the platform itself.

We value judgment in ambiguous situations and interpersonal skills more than technical proficiency.

The three key qualities we look for are: a desire to solve customer problems, smooth communication between internal stakeholders, and the ability to think about product direction together and incorporate customers’ tacit knowledge into the product.

Directly deploy and establish the Laplacian platform (Control Plane, Robot OS, etc.) at customer warehouses and factories.
Structure ambiguous customer requirements into concrete technical specifications and implementation plans.
Develop integrations and custom integration features with on-site systems such as WMS/WES.
Directly debug and resolve issues that occur on-site. (On-site business travel or extended stays may be required when necessary.)
Lead projects while communicating directly with various stakeholders, from on-site operators to customer executives.
Structure field feedback and patterns, share them with the product and engineering teams, and turn them into reusable assets.
Take ownership of the entire deployment process, from PoC to transition into actual operations.
Automate repetitive manual work with scripts and dashboards, and track uptime and reliability metrics for deployed fleets.

Requirements

3–5 years of development experience in a relevant field such as backend, systems, or robotics software.
Practical development skills using Python or TypeScript.
Experience independently structuring ambiguous problems, making decisions, and implementing solutions through to completion.
Experience communicating directly with customers and stakeholders and coordinating their requirements.
Ability to travel to customer sites and stay on-site when necessary. (Approximately 30–50% travel.)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

단순 기술지원이나 PoC 데모가 아니라, 계약 이후에도 고객 현장에 남아 모호한 요구를 구조화하고, 직접 만들고 검증하며, 그 과정에서 얻은 인사이트를 제품과 엔지니어링팀에 환류시켜 플랫폼 자체를 개선하는 것이 목표입니다.

고객사 물류창고, 공장 현장에 Laplacian 플랫폼(Control Plane, Robot OS 등)을 직접 배포 및 안착합니다.
고객의 모호한 요구사항을 구체적인 기술 스펙과 구현 계획으로 구조화합니다.
WMS/WES 등 현장 시스템과의 연동 및 커스텀 통합 기능을 개발합니다.
현장에서 발생하는 이슈를 직접 디버깅 및 해결합니다. (필요 시 현장 출장/상주합니다.)
현장 오퍼레이터부터 고객사 경영진까지 다양한 이해관계자와 직접 커뮤니케이션하며, 프로젝트를 리드합니다.
현장 피드백과 패턴을 구조화하여 제품·엔지니어링팀과 공유하고, 재사용 가능한 자산으로 전환합니다.
PoC부터 실제 운영 전환까지 배포 전 과정에 대한 오너십을 가집니다.
반복적인 수작업을 스크립트, 대시보드로 자동화하고, 배포된 fleet의 가동시간과 신뢰성 지표를 추적합니다.

Requirements

백엔드·시스템·로보틱스 소프트웨어 등 관련 분야 3-5년 개발 경험
Python 또는 TypeScript 기반 실무 개발 역량
모호한 문제를 스스로 구조화하고 의사결정하여 끝까지 구현 경험
고객, 이해관계자와 직접 커뮤니케이션하며 그들의 요구사항의 조율 경험
현장 출장 및 필요 시 상주 근무 가능 (출장 비중 약 30-50%)
컴퓨터공학, 소프트웨어공학 또는 관련 분야 학사 이상, 또는 이에 준하는 경험
