Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Presenting, demonstrating, and evaluating Vector’s SW testing automation solution (e.g. VectorCAST, PC-lint Plus, and Squore) based on each customer’s needs
• Technical support and coaching service to help customer’s challenge to apply Vector Code Testing Solution
• Meeting customers and prospects to understand the details of their software development and verification workflow and match those needs to Vector solutions
• Supporting post-sales adoption of SW verification products including training, customization, coaching, and support for general product usage and technical issue solution
• Filling in the gap between customers’ expectations and the product capabilities through providing a solution or a workaround

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in related science and engineering fields such as SW engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience with embedded compilers and other tools present in the software development environment: software design, verification, etc.
• Knowledge of SW development process and SW build process such as link, compile, and build
• Experience with SW verification activities
• Strong knowledge of C and C++
• Someone who likes to be challenged
• Positive, customer-service-oriented attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages is a strong plus
• Automotive, avionic, and defense industry experience is a plus
• Experience in Linux is also a plus
