In February, we hosted Dev Korea #7, bringing together 160+ developers, founders, engineers, and builders in Seoul for one of our biggest events yet.

With a highly engaging talk on AI and serverless, 46 pizzas, and a room full of energy, this event once again showed how strong the demand is for practical, real-world tech conversations within Korea’s international developer community.

Building, learning, and connecting in Seoul

From the moment doors opened, the venue quickly filled up.

We kicked things off with check-in and food, and with 46 pizzas provided by Dev Korea, conversations started immediately:

  • people sharing what they are building
  • discussing AI trends and tooling
  • reconnecting with familiar faces
  • meeting new members of the community

As always, the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and welcoming.

Don’t worry about perfect English. Many attendees speak Korean too.
Come as you are—we’re here to learn and connect together. 🇰🇷

🧠 How to efficiently develop and deploy your AI-based product with serverless

The evening featured a single, deep-dive session focused on one of the most relevant topics today: AI infrastructure and serverless architecture.

Sang (Chris) Park delivered an awesome, highly engaging talk exploring how to build and ship AI-powered products efficiently using serverless.

The session covered:

  • why infrastructure matters just as much as the application layer
  • what serverless architecture actually is and when to use it
  • how serverless helps remove bottlenecks for fast-moving teams
  • why it is especially well-suited for AI-based products
  • a live, real-time demonstration of building and deploying

The talk struck a strong balance between concept and practice, making it valuable for both experienced engineers and builders exploring AI for the first time.

🌱 AI and serverless: a growing focus in the community

Compared to previous events, this meetup clearly reflected the current shift in the ecosystem.

Conversations throughout the evening focused on:

  • building AI-powered products in practice
  • choosing the right infrastructure for fast iteration
  • balancing cost, scalability, and developer experience
  • how serverless changes the way teams ship

The level of engagement, and the size of the crowd, made one thing clear:
AI and modern infrastructure are top of mind for the Dev Korea community.

🍕 Pizza, networking, and hallway conversations

Food once again played a key role in setting the tone.

With 46 pizzas shared across 160+ attendees, the event felt lively from start to finish.

Throughout the night, people:

  • exchanged ideas around AI tools and workflows
  • discussed serverless setups and real-world use cases
  • talked about startups, side projects, and careers
  • built new connections and strengthened existing ones

These informal conversations remain one of the most valuable parts of every Dev Korea event.

🙌 Huge thanks

This event would not have been possible without:

Seeing the space completely packed was both surprising and incredibly motivating for us as organizers.
