Domain errors and functional error handling in Kotlin This presentation explores how to model and handle errors in Kotlin using a domain-driven approach. It contrasts traditional exception-based handling with functional techniques such as sealed classes, Result, and Either, showing how failures can be represented explicitly in the type system. The talk highlights how domain errors improve readability, safety, and maintainability, and demonstrates practical patterns for building predictable and composable error handling in Kotlin applications.

From test cases to risk management We write more tests than ever, yet bugs still reach production. This talk challenges the idea that test coverage equals quality and introduces a risk-based approach to QA. We’ll explore how AI-driven impact analysis can help identify what actually needs to be tested, reducing noise and focusing on real risks. Instead of testing features, we focus on consequences: financial loss, user impact, and operational cost.
