Staff Web Engineer (Rocket Growth Engineering)

Coupang’s Rocket Growth Engineering Team is responsible for building the next generation fulfillment by Coupang platform that allows Sellers to bring the widest possible quality selection of items available at competitive prices to Coupang’s customers in a convenient manner. We are building full-stack engineering teams to scale up our systems for the vast and growing selection.

This role requires leadership of one of the most critical systems that will invest millions of listings, enabling quality experience for our Sellers from Listings, and Order Fulfillment to Settlements. We provide intelligence for Sellers to optimize their Selection, prices, and fulfillment experience to Coupang’s customer needs, enabling Coupang to become the most trusted selling platform. We are looking for a leader who has previous E-commerce leadership experience and has led distributed systems development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build new & enhance existing web experience for Rocket Growth sellers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and product owners to develop high-quality web applications
• Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices for web application development.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix any issues or bugs
• Develop responsive user interfaces that work seamlessly across various browsers
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the front-end mobile development process.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience working on Front-end(Web) development
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and other common web technologies
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the popular UI frameworks, including React, Vue, Angular, and Svelte
• Proficient in using popular UT toolsets such as Jest, Jasmine, and Mocha, and excellent front-end unit test writing skills
• Experience with mobile UI/UX design and implementing responsive interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in an agile development environment and meet tight deadlines

Preferred

• Strong experience with mobile development using technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin or Java.
• Solid understanding of mobile application development best practices, performance optimization, and user experience design principles
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with back-end systems.
• Knowledge of MVC, MVVM, MVP architecture patterns
• Experience building apps for major mobile operating systems (Android or iOS)
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
