We are EA's game development studio based in Seoul, known for the FIFA Online series, a AAA sports game, as well as Need for Speed Online and MLB Online. EA Korea Studio, armed with its unparalleled development capability for authentic graphic and diverse content that reflects lifelike football experience, is a large development organization in which Game Designers, Artists, Software Engineers, Development Directors, and Producers work together throughout the entire game development process, from production to live service.

EA Korea Studio follows EA's global systematic and documented development process throughout the whole production process, from development planning to game design confirmation, visual direction setting and implementation to QA. At the same time, EA Korea Studio makes improvements based on the feedback from those who participate in the development process by streamlining our processes and pursuing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain server-side features of a real-time scalable game.
• Ensure stability of various back-end services.
• Investigate and response to issues arising in the live environment.
• Operate a large-scale Kubernetes cluster in multiple countries.
• Develop the server for a real-time scalable game.
• Develop the server using RESTful API.
• Implement various game content features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in related fields
• Proficiency in Korean to cooperation with Korea development team
• Proficiency in using Typescript and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Microservice Architecture and gRPC &RESTful API
• Experience in developing or operating using NoSQL or RDBMS
• Experience developing in Linux environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing web services or distributed servers that handle a lot of traffic
• Experience in operating clusters using containers like Kubernetes
• Experience in implementing or using various data collection and monitoring tools to assess the health of a live environment Degree in computer science
• Experience in developing with various programming languages (C, C++, Python, Go, Typescript)
• Experience in launching online/mobile game services and operating live services
• Ability to communicate and solve problems effectively
