💼 About Packative and the Role
Packative is a B2B startup digitizing the packaging process, from quotation and ordering to production and delivery. Much of the industry still manages these complex workflows through phone calls, email, and spreadsheets. We are improving that process through two products:
- Packative One: A CRM/ERP solution for packaging manufacturers and traders, covering quotation automation, CRM and order pipelines, production, and CAD integration. This is the primary product for this role.
- Packative Marketplace: An on-demand packaging platform connecting brands with manufacturing partners.
Where we are today
- Revenue continues to grow rapidly year over year.
- Packative One is already used by customers, with overseas packaging company PoCs underway and domestic enterprise adoption discussions in progress.
- We have been selected for the Deep Tech TIPS program and are preparing our next funding round.
- We are a lean team where each person's work can directly shape the company's direction.
This role involves improving a live product. You will work through existing technical and product planning debt while continuing to deliver improvements with the team. It requires a willingness to improve and accelerate the existing product while customers continue to use it. Candidates who prefer starting over to working through an established product's constraints will find this role a poor fit.
Scope and reporting
The Product Manager owns Packative One delivery from product planning through QA and release. You will turn customer, sales, and operations needs into functional specifications, agree on priorities and timelines with engineering, and conduct QA yourself to ensure releases meet the agreed scope and quality.
You will report to the Tech Lead, who oversees both engineering and product. Within that structure, you are responsible for what we build, why we build it, and when we deliver it. The Japan PO owns overseas PoCs; you will collaborate on the shared product roadmap.
The role has three areas of ownership:
- Product improvement and planning: Address existing product debt and turn customer and operational problems into clear specifications.
- Delivery: Agree on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs with engineering and deliver against those commitments.
- QA and releases: Conduct QA directly and take responsibility for release coordination and verification, including deployments outside regular working hours.
🔧 Responsibilities
1. Existing product improvement
- Identify technical and product planning debt in Packative One and agree on remediation priorities with engineering.
- Balance improvements to existing features and new development within one roadmap.
- Plan the scope and sequence of improvements to avoid disrupting customers using the product.
2. Product planning and roadmap
- Build and manage Packative One's quarterly roadmap in agreement with the Tech Lead.
- Gather needs from customers, sales, and operations, and define the underlying problems.
- Write functional specifications, user flows, and screen specifications, accounting for permissions, configuration, and data separation in a multi-tenant product.
- Join enterprise customer implementation meetings to understand operational requirements directly.
3. Engineering delivery management
- Agree on backlog priorities, sprint scope, and timelines.
- Manage requirement changes after work begins and document the resulting trade-offs and decisions.
- Track and share weekly delivery metrics, such as delays against committed release dates and the number of scope changes.
4. QA and releases
- Define acceptance criteria for each feature and conduct QA yourself.
- Participate in deployments outside regular working hours and complete post-release checks of key functions.
- Contribute to release readiness decisions and write release notes.
- Make product-side decisions during hotfixes and incident response.
5. Customer adoption and cross-functional collaboration
- Build customer onboarding guides and user manuals, and manage adoption KPIs.
- Meet regularly with sales and operations to gather requirements, communicate releases, and support demo scenarios.
- Coordinate the shared product roadmap with the Japan PO.
- Bring operational feedback into the direction of AI-powered workflow automation.
🎯 Requirements
- 4–7 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
- Experience working on SaaS products or products with a multi-tenant architecture.
- Experience addressing existing product debt while accelerating improvements to a live product.
- Enough technical understanding to write functional specifications and participate in engineering reviews. Writing code is not required.
- Experience conducting QA directly and taking responsibility for release quality.
- Native-level Korean and business English are required, including communication with the CEO and participation in product meetings conducted in English.
- Experience independently identifying customer problems, defining their scope, and shaping and executing product direction beyond processing an assigned backlog.
- An established practice of customer interviews, discovery, and documenting findings.
- Clear communication with engineering, sales, operations, the CEO, and customers. You support disagreements with evidence and alternatives, and document decisions.
➕ Preferred Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding, including the ability to discuss data models, APIs, and deployment architecture in detail with engineers.
- Experience planning CRM/ERP products, or working in manufacturing, packaging, or logistics.
- Experience participating in enterprise customer implementation projects.
- Experience establishing backlog, QA, and release processes at a startup around the Series A stage.
- Experience managing development processes through issue trackers such as Linear or Jira.
- Experience designing AI-powered workflow automation products or actively using AI tools in your work.
- Business proficiency in an additional language, such as Japanese or Chinese.
🏢 Employment and Working Conditions
- Employment: Permanent position following an initial three-month fixed-term probationary contract and a successful evaluation.
- Location: Think Factory Dangsan, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
- Schedule: Five days per week, with a flexible start time between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
- Release support: Participation in deployment checks outside regular working hours, depending on the release schedule.
- Travel: Visits to customer sites within Korea as needed.

- Deadline: Open until filled. Recruitment may close early once a suitable candidate is hired.
- Process: Application → Document review → First interview → Second interview → Compensation discussion → Final offer.
An offer may be withdrawn if application materials contain false information. The interview schedule and process may change depending on company circumstances.
