Senior Backend Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and users. Your expertise in building scalable and efficient systems will drive our technical vision forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain systems using Go.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Optimize and scale our infrastructure to handle increasing traffic and data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Go.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Knowledge of gRPC and protobuf is a plus
• Proficiency in working with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is a strong plus
