About the role...

o9 Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and availability of our SaaS platform. This role involves close collaboration with our development team to design, build, and maintain our infrastructure securely and efficiently. Monitoring the system and resolving any issues that may arise is also part of your responsibility. As an SRE, you will have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and implement your innovative ideas to create value for o9 clients.

What you will do in this role:

• Provide support and maintenance for our o9 SaaS-based supply chain and retail applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Monitor the performance and availability of our systems, ensuring that our services meet our SLAs.
• Build automation tools to streamline deployments, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
• Develop and implement monitoring solutions to detect and alert on system issues, including scaling and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with the development and QA teams to ensure that our applications are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.
• Continuously improve our DevOps processes and practices, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our platform.
• Have the ability and flexibility to work with teams globally, across time zones.

What you’ll have...

Education:

• Masters Degree in computer science, Software Engineering, information technology, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management OR 2+ years of experience in a SRE role with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Certification in any of the following: AWS, AZURE, or GCP
• Kubernetes administration certification

Experience:

• Experience in a SRE role, deploying and maintaining applications, performance tuning, conducting application upgrades, patches, and supporting continuous integration and deployment tooling
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in any one of the clouds (AWS, AZURE, or GCP).
• Experience with Dockers or similar and experience with Kubernetes or similar
• Experience supporting Hadoop or any other big data platform

Skills:

• Ability to debug issues and solve problems
• Working knowledge with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD
• Administration of databases (MS SQL, Mongo)
• Working knowledge with Linux and Windows operating system
